Snowshoe Tours

Snowshoeing has been experiencing a boom in popularity in the last few years, and for good reason.

Our guided 2-hour snowshoe tours are great for folks who have never been on snowshoes before and people who are experienced, but looking for a guide to show them a new area.

Our Steamboat Springs Snowshoe Tours offer:

We’re located in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, so you can expect a peaceful trip away from the crowds on the ski hill. Our snowshoe tours give you an authentic nature experience. When a blanket of snow covers the ground, we can access places way off trail that you can’t get to in the summer. We’ll traverse a frozen lake and wind through a beautiful forest filled with towering lodge pole pines, blue spruce trees and serene aspens.

Snowshoe tours are great activities for the entire family. We have both adult & kids’ sizes in our snowshoes.

Snowshoe rental is included in the price of the tour.

Our guides have wilderness first aid certifications and avalanche training, in addition to being experienced outdoorsmen & women. It’s our mission to provide folks with meaningful outdoor experiences, so you can expect your guide–and all our staff–to be friendly, genuine and caring.

We offer complimentary pick-up and drop off in downtown Steamboat Springs.

Reasons to give snowshoeing a try this winter:

It’s good exercise

Snowshoeing is great aerobic exercise. You’ll be getting a workout without realizing it because it is so beautiful in the backcountry.

Everyone can go together

Whereas groups usually split up at the resort based on skill level, and some members might be beyond their black diamond days, a snowshoe tour is something that everyone can participate in. It’s low impact and low risk, making it a safe and appealing activity for everyone.

If you love hiking, you’ll love snowshoeing

If you’re an avid hiker, you’ll love winter’s hiking counterpart. Unparalleled access to nature, great photo opportunities, and the chance to see wildlife.
