Steamboat Lake Outpost is a lodge north of Steamboat Springs that has accommodations to suit every adventurer. From budget-friendly motel rooms, to spacious two–bedroom cabins with full-sized kitchens, and even RV sites, we’re here to help you plan your stay and pick your adventure.
One Bedroom Cabin

Our one-bedroom and studio-style cabins offer the quintessential mountain getaway. Rustic and cozy, these classically styled cabins feature rough cut wood interiors, full bathrooms with tub/showers, and a fully-equipped kitchen. These cabins are cozy enough for a romantic weekend in the mountains, yet also furnished with a full-sized pull out couch for friend groups or families.
Two Bedroom Loft Cabins
Open - Air Loft - Sleeps MAx 5 -6
The two-bedroom loft cabin is a great fit for friends or families that are looking for a traditional cabin stay. The first floor features a primary bedroom with a queen bed, living room with a couch and table, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Stairs lead up to the open air loft, furnished with two full-sized beds and a dresser.

Queen, Two Twins, Sleeper Sofa - Sleeps MAx 6
Getting the entire crew together for a reunion, hunting expedition, or sledding on a bluebird day? Our two-bedroom cabins feature one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a secondary bedroom with two twin beds, and a queen-sized pull-out couch. With a full-sized and fully-equipped kitchen, a large dining table, and a comfy living room, our two-bedroom cabins are the perfect headquarters for mountain fun. And don’t worry, each bedroom has it’s own bathroom and shower, so no more fights over who gets to warm up or wash up first!
Motel Rooms
Two Queen beds - Sleeps 4
Perfect for the adventurer who is looking for a simple and clean place to rest after a day on the trails, The Outpost’s Bunkhouse features six motel-style rooms with two queen beds, a full-sized bathroom, coffee maker, microwave, and TV. With views of Sand Mountain and Hahn’s Peak, the Bunkhouse is a great spot to hang up your hat or helmet
RV Camping Spot
ELECTRIC HOOKUPS
If you’re looking for a place to hookup your RV, we have spots with electric hookups. Sites 1-4 feature 20, 30, and 50 amp service. Sites 5 and 6 are adjacent to each other and have 20 and 30 amp service. If you have a longer rig, sites 1-3 can accommodate up to 55 feet. Sites 4-6 are limited to 40 feet. Water and dump stations are available at Steamboat Lake State Park for a fee.

No need to trailer into town to fill up your sled or side-by-side, we've got pumps right here, with ethanol-free premium.

After your ride, join us at our restaurant for pizzas, burgers, salads & other rustic comfort food.
Pet friendly
Pets are apart of The Outpost family. Our pet fee is $50 per pet, per reservation.
Wi-fi access
In our neck of the woods, connectivity can be a challenge, but we're lucky to offer guests high-speed internet access.
Clean rooms
We're not the Ritz--and we're happy about that--but our housekeepers still take a 5-star pride in providing you with a clean, comfortable room.
Full kitchens, real beds
No need to rough it--your accommodations come with bedding & towels. Our cabins have fully-equipped kitchens.

Families love our playground! Located right outside the restaurant near the patio, kids can play while adults relax and catch up.
