Our 2-Hour Scenic Snowmobile Tour Offers:
Our tours wind through the Routt National Forest on groomed trails. Depending on weather and trail conditions, destinations include Farwell Mountain, Hahn’s Peak or Big Red Park. All tours have great views, and we’ll stop along the way to snap photos.
Our snowmobiles are comfortable, easy to operate, and come with one or two-seater options.

Our guides have wilderness first aid certifications and avalanche training, in addition to being experienced outdoorsmen & women.

Shuttle from and back to Steamboat available. Groups of 1-4 people pay a rate of $20 per person. Groups of 5 or more ride free. Call to schedule at time of booking.

The Details
- Our tours are great for ages 6+
- Want the thrill of driving?! Drivers must be 16+ with a valid driver’s license.
- We recommend that most adults drive their own sleds. Our sleds are state of the art and make for easy handling on the trail.
- Tours run daily at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm
- Dress warm. We’ll start at 8,200 ft elevation and ride near 10,800 ft
- Tours leave directly from The Outpost property which features an onsite restaurant. Check our website for current restaurant hours
- Helmets and goggles are provided and required for all snowmobilers

Yes! Kids ages 6 and up can ride as passengers on our guided snowmobile tours in North Routt County, and all drivers must be licensed adults. All tours are paced to match the group’s comfort level, making them a great way for families to explore Routt National Forest together, even if it’s their first time on a sled.
Do you provide the snowmobile gear?
Yes — your snowmobile tour includes helmets, goggles, and other required safety gear. Just bring your own warm boots and winter layers. Everything else you need to ride safely through North Routt County is included. Just be sure to pack your own refreshments!

Yes, our snowmobile tours run rain, snow, or shine. Weather doesn’t stop the adventure!
