Snowmobile Tours

Explore the backcountry and experience the thrill of snowmobiling!

Our 2-Hour Scenic Snowmobile Tour Offers:

Our tours wind through the Routt National Forest on groomed trails. Depending on weather and trail conditions, destinations include Farwell Mountain, Hahn’s Peak or Big Red Park. All tours have great views, and we’ll stop along the way to snap photos.

Our snowmobiles are comfortable, easy to operate, and come with one or two-seater options.

Never been on a snowmobile? Don’t worry, we’ve taught lots of folks to ride! Or if you’ve ridden a lot and are looking for a next level adventure, check out our Intro to Powder Riding Tour or our self-guided snowmobile rentals

Our guides have wilderness first aid certifications and avalanche training, in addition to being experienced outdoorsmen & women.

It’s our mission to provide folks with meaningful outdoor experiences, so you can expect your guide–and all our staff–to be friendly, genuine and caring.

We offer complimentary pick-up and drop off in downtown Steamboat Springs.

After your snowmobile tour, why not join us on the lake for some ice fishing or at the lodge for a horse-drawn sleigh ride dinner? We guide five winter activities all from the same basecamp, so why not make a day of it? We offer a 10% discount for multiple activities booked within 7 days.

Intro to Powder Riding Tour

2 hour clinic

Ready to take your ride off-trail?! We are located in some of the West’s best snowmobiling terrain and are happy to introduce folks to the intricacies of mountain riding. Our mountain riding clinic focuses on basic techniques and snow safety.

Whereas our scenic tours are an on-trail experience, our Intro to Powder Riding clinic uses 2024 Polaris 850s—sleds designed for gliding through powder and climbing up mountains. We’ll ride a short distance to a large meadow where we’ll practice counter steering and powder turns, introduce you to side-hilling and teach you how to dig your sled out when you get stuck. We’ll also review all the gear you’ll need to transition into mountain riding.

Snowmobiling in the Colorado backcountry is such an incredibly thrilling experience. But it can be overwhelming—and dangerous—if you are not equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary. This 2-hour intro class is a great way to get a feel for backcountry snowmobiling in a safe and controlled environment.
