The latest goings-on at Steamboat Lake Outpost.

Hi Friends,
After a snowy start to the month, spring time in the mountains has settled into Clark, with sunshine, rain, and warmer temps in the forecast. And thus begins mud season! The snow is starting to melt, revealing dried brown grass underneath, that gets greener as you drive town the road towards Steamboat. For a fun comparison of this years’ snowpack compared to last years’, check out this post.
We’ll close for our seasonal shut down on April 16th. Lodging and the restaurant will be shut down, with limited hours in the store. See below for full details on our hours. We’ll be fully back up and running on May 9th!
In the meantime, while it’s quiet up here at The Outpost, we’ll be busy cleaning and preparing for summer. Our housekeeping team does a deep clean on all the cabins, and we work on maintenance and other improvement projects around the property. Towards the end of the month, as the lake melts and the run off streams start to flow, we’ll welcome our first guests of the season, who come to fish the spawning.
We hope you are enjoying warmer weather! See you soon!
